Disengagement Policy

At PayEngineers, we are committed to ethical business practices and responsible payment processing. This policy outlines the actions we will take if we suspect that a client is using our payment solutions for fraudulent, unethical, or otherwise illicit purposes.

1. Detection of Misuse

We employ various methods to monitor and detect potential misuse of our payment processing services, including:

  • Transaction monitoring for unusual patterns, such as large or frequent transactions that are inconsistent with normal business activity.
  • Monitoring of chargeback ratios and dispute rates.
  • Reports from payment processors, law enforcement, and regulatory agencies.
  • Direct customer complaints.

2. Suspension of Services

If we have reasonable grounds to believe that a client is engaging in fraudulent, unethical, or illegal activities, we reserve the right to immediately suspend or restrict access to our services. This may include:

  • Temporary or permanent suspension of payment processing capabilities.
  • Freezing of funds held in the client's account.
  • Termination of the client's account.

3. Investigation and Due Diligence

Upon detection of suspicious activity, PayEngineers will conduct a thorough investigation to determine the validity of the concerns. This process may involve:

  • Reviewing account records and transaction history.
  • Contacting the client to request additional information and clarification.
  • Consulting with payment processors and other relevant parties.
  • Seeking advice from legal and regulatory experts.

4. Notification of Suspension

We will notify the client as soon as reasonably practicable about the suspension of their services, except in cases where such notification could compromise our investigation or contravene legal obligations. The notification will include:

  • The reason for the suspension.
  • The duration of the suspension.
  • The actions required from the client to resolve the situation (if any).

5. Resolution of Issues

We will cooperate with clients to resolve legitimate concerns and enable them to resume using our services, as long as they can demonstrate full compliance with our terms, policies, and applicable laws. The client is responsible for providing sufficient evidence and assurance that their business activities are ethical and lawful.

6. Termination of Services

If an investigation confirms that a client is using our services for fraudulent, unethical, or illegal purposes, and the issue cannot be resolved, PayEngineers reserves the right to permanently terminate the client’s account. In such cases, we may also report the client to relevant authorities.

7. Cooperation with Authorities

We will fully cooperate with law enforcement and regulatory agencies in any investigation related to suspicious activity on our platform. This includes providing necessary documentation and information to assist in their inquiries.

8. No Liability for Suspension or Termination

PayEngineers shall not be liable to the client for any damages, losses, or expenses resulting from the suspension or termination of services in accordance with this policy.

9. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Disengagement Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new policy on our website.
